Jennifer has always been an outstanding Veterinarian. She has the knowledge and compassion for our animals. She cares for all of our families four legged kiddos. I have known her for over 18 years. Not only do we trust her with our pets but she has been there through the sorrow of loss. There are not many, if any, people who are as passionate about their work. When people ask me "Who is a good Veterinarian?" I refer them right to Jennifer Schmidt!!

Dr. Schmidt is phenomenal - to mirror what has been said by everyone before me. She has been our vet for 15 years. I, too, have followed her from before she even had her own practice. She is kind, caring, gentle, thorough and was a god-send to me and my family mentally when we had to put our lab down. She is also great with our new puppy who we just had to board there for a long weekend. I picked him up fully expecting to have to bath him that night, but no, I arrived and she already had that done PLUS washed the blanket we left for him from his crate. I have recommended her to friends who have started to use her as well and will continue to recommend her to anyone I know.

To basically mirror what the other poster said, Dr. Schmidt does her job because she LOVES her job. She is great with my animals, has very reasonable pricing, and has helped us through QUITE a bit with out German Shepherd. Even if were to move to Chicago, I would probably make the trip back to her, just because she is that awesome, even my animals love her!

I have been following Dr. Schmidt since she began her own practice several years ago. I also followed her before that when she was just starting out as an assistant veterinarian at someone else's clinic. Recently, I have moved to Brookfield and the traveling time is now about 50 minutes each way. Even so, I will not change vets. Dr. Schmidt is gentle with my two Bichon Firse dogs and they are trusting of her. She will take the time to discuss any related issue with you and is ethical enough to refer you to a specialist when she feels that she cannot do the best job in a particular case. It is a quaint country practice with a caring provider for the pet that you love. SML
