George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Homes is an independent family owned firm serving all faiths and backgrounds. It was started in Wellesley in 1937 by George F. Doherty Sr.. Along with his two sons George F. Doherty Jr. and Edward J. Doherty, the family went on to establish three more funeral homes. Dedham in 1963, Needham in 1970, and West Roxbury in 2000.The Doherty family, along with an exceptional staff, continue to pride themselves in maintaining the highest standards of quality, compassion, and respect when responding to the needs of families in the communities they serve.
