I did not have a good experience with Preston Hicks. My negative experience happened mostly during the end of our association where he didn't hesitate to garnish my wages for a bill I couldn't pay immediately.

Upstanding citizen. Will treat you fair and work hard for you. Preston Hicks knows the law and will work hard for his clients.

Preston has done several things for me l.Henry has always been fairly and upfront about everything. He advice isn't always what I want to hear but it's always what I need to hear.

Preston isn't part of a larger firm because no lawyers are willing to work with him. Don't waste your time or money with him. Even if you have to hire an attorney from Charlottesville it will be worth the travel.

Preston Hicks is an attorney you do NOT want representing you. He will continue asking for additional retainers until you can't afford it, which is funny since he markets himself as a bankruptcy lawyer. He doesn't have your best interest at heart. Hire at your own risk.

Do not hire this lawyer. I gave him a $1000 retainer fee. The last time I met with him I thought I was working under the same retainer fee. At the end of the meeting he said "I need a retainer fee of $2000". I told him I couldn't afford that and that we'd have to part ways. I then received a bill for $500 for firing him. He literally charged my 25% of what it would have cost me to hire in order to fire him. That's like going to a car dealership looking at a $20,000 car and then having the dealership charge you $5,000 because you couldn't buy it. And then he issued a summons for me to appear in court because I couldn't afford his firing fee. This lawyer is a sham and you will regret it if you hire him.
