I purchased an older home in Villanova so many of the lighting fixtures date back to the 50's and 60's. I could not find the proper replacement bulbs anywhere till I found Kody Lighting. They had a selection of the most obscure bulbs I have ever seen. Staff was very helpful. I am bringing an old lamp I inherited from my grandmother in to get fitted for a more appropriate shade. Ruffles are not my style. Tons of lights in this place, can't imagine what the electric bill must me. Thanks Kody, I'll be back
This store is a bulwark of lighting stores which I have gone to for at least 20 years. Their prices are reasonable to high end. You have to know what you are looking for. Nobody wants cheap junk, and they don't have it. Their taste is impeccable. The staff is very helpful. They are friendly and joke around sometimes in a way that makes decision making easier. It is good to go during off hours because otherwise Kody's can be jammed because they are SO popular. If you can't find it at Cody Lighting, it does not exist.
I was in Kody Lighting this past weekend looking for a particular shade to fit an old lamp passed on through my family. I wanted to match the look of the base with a shade. The selection was fantastic! I was able to find several shades that matched the period of the lamp design... The salesperson was so patient, knowledgeable and helpful. He knew design and was able to show me the right shade! While there I ended up buying a new light for my porch, I couldn't resist looking at all the lighting fixtures that were so appealing. Thanks so much for all your help! I had first gone to another lighting store and didn't find nearly the large selection I found at Kody.
Stay away from this store. Rude, sullen, nasty salespeople who don't want to deign to wiat on you. And the merchandise is overpriced. Go to Bright Light in KoP where items are about 1/3 to 1/5 the price off of what they are at Kody. And, you don't have to deal with the really, really nasty (did I say how REALLY nasty they are?) salestaff.
BEST LIGHTING STORE AWARD 2002,04,05,06,07,08,09 AWARDS are not won by treating people the way we have been Accused and We Beat All Competitors Pricing I do not know what happened when suzieb008 came to Kody Lighting but we have serviced politely our customers for 60 years and in these days of internet pricing no company can charge 3to5 times that which a competitor charges.
