- Dental ExaminationAn oral examination is the best place to start. This initial step will diagnose your dental health and determine the combination of treatment that will restore your tooth function and appearance.
- X-rays
- Teeth CleaningFirst choice would be none because you keep your teeth and gums healthy with routine check-ups and teeth cleanings. A close second and perhaps most popular would be virtually painless dental treatment.
- Fluoride TreatmentAt Dr. Spina’s dental office, we are proud to offer our patients the most advanced technology and techniques available in dentistry. We believe that preventative dental care is essential to maintaining good health throughout your lifetime, but we are also aware of the financial strain that such care may put on your family. Our Smile Club is specifically designed for patients who do not have dental insurance. For a yearly fee, Smile Club Members will receive two dental cleanings and exams, one set (7) of bitewing x-rays and two fluoride treatments each year. In addition, a 15% discount will be offered on all dental treatments.
- FillingsSilver, amalgam fillings have a tendency to darken over time. It’s also common for metal fillings to require the loss of more tooth structure during the procedure.
- VeneersWhat makes a smile beautiful? That’s a complex question, but some qualities of a lovely smile are immediately identifiable: good tooth color, shape and alignment are a few of the most important ones. If your teeth could use improvement in any of these categories, porcelain veneers could be just what you’re looking for.
- CrownsDentistry is an art as well as a science; dental crowns offer a perfect example of this. A dental crown or “cap” is a covering that fits over a damaged, decayed or unattractive tooth. It can even replace a tooth entirely as part of dental bridgework.
- BridgesDental implants are made to last. Your implant has a 95% success rate as a restorative dental treatment and can last longer than a dental bridge.
- Dental BondingTeeth bonding or dental bonding is a versatile treatment. Speaking of appearance and comprehensive oral health, it provides a benefit for both.
- Restorative DentistryWith the advent of the dental microscope, dentists are now able to save heavily damaged and, in some cases, even terminal teeth. The Terminal Tooth Protocol, or TTP, is a novel method of salvaging previously non-restorable teeth. This technique, based on the innovative work of several European dentists, has changed the practice of restorative dentistry. Relying on advanced dental microscopy, TTP utilizes every micron of healthy tooth to restore teeth and potentially allow the patient continued function.
- Root Canal TreatmentDr. Spina did a great job on a more complicated tooth. I had a back tooth that had an issue as a kid. Resulted in a cap in my 20’s. The cap recently came off. I was sent to the nice root canal doctor. Dr. Spina built my original tooth back up for a better fit. Dr. Spina has a kind and relaxed atmosphere and his work is impeccable. He is the second main line dentist I tried after my dentist growing up retired. I have been a patient for about 5 years.
- DenturesSupport Removable Dentures — Implants can even make removable dentures more comfortable, effective and healthier to wear. Traditional dentures rest on the gums and put pressure on the underlying bone. This accelerates bone loss so that the jaw shrinks and the dentures slip, particularly on the bottom. But today dentists can attach a removable denture onto implants, transferring that pressure into the bone structure rather than the bone surface. This prevents the dentures from slipping while you eat and speak, and preserves the bone directly beneath them.
- Dental ImplantsOf all the ways modern dentistry has to replace missing teeth, dental implants are by far the best. There is no tooth-replacement option that will give you a longer-lasting result. Implants also help preserve tooth-supporting bone that naturally deteriorates when a tooth is lost. Loss of bone is one of the major hidden consequences of losing teeth.
- Oral SurgeryDental lasers are also effective for eliminating infection and treating it’s source. Again, this is possible without any necessary or painful incision common with other forms of oral surgery.
- Gum SurgeryGum surgery can require more than one invasive procedure. And any surgical treatment is followed by a period of healing before you can anticipate being pain-free.
- Bone GraftingDental implants require bone as an anchor – vertically and laterally. Some alternative treatments, such as bone grafting, can precede your dental implant treatment if necessary.
- OrthodonticsThere are some situations in which veneers would be inappropriate. For example, if you have significantly misaligned teeth or a large gap, orthodontics might be a more appropriate solution than veneers. And if you have lost a lot of tooth structure from decay or trauma (or a particularly severe grinding habit), it might be better to restore your teeth with porcelain crowns that cover the entire tooth.
- Invisalign OrthodonticsWhat does a perfect smile look like? Whether you think the perfect smile means having sparkling white teeth or you think it means having perfectly straight ones with healthy pink gums, you’re right. Your definition of the perfect smile is up to you, and with modern dentistry, the ability to achieve that perfect smile is more within your reach than you might think. With advanced solutions such as Invisalign and porcelain veneers, correcting smile imperfections is easier and more convenient than ever before.
