The Waycross Public Works division is responsible for the maintenance of public infrastructure systems. It offers a range of maintenance services for city-owned cemeteries, streets, parks, drainage ditches and canals. The department also provides recycling services for newspapers, aluminum cans and cardboards. In addition, the Waycross Public Works division is responsible for the collection of residential garbage and yard trash, including limbs, tree trunks and stumps. The department also offers special pickup services for bulky items, such as appliances, mattresses, carpets and furniture. Additionally, it provides repair and maintenance services for nearly 225 vehicles and heavy equipment. The department is located in Waycross, Ga.
