- CryotherapyWhen laser surgery cannot be used, cryotherapy is often effective. This procedure involves freezing parts of the retina to help shrink the abnormal blood vessel growth.
- Pediatric CareIt’s one thing to understand eyes inside and out and to skillfully diagnose and appropriately treat eye disorders or diseases. It’s something quite different to understand from a child’s perspective how vision problems can affect the ability to run, play and read.
- Emergency CareWhen you get emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from balance billing. In these cases, you shouldn’t be charged more than your plan’s copayments, coinsurance and/or deductible.
- GlaucomaNearly two and a half million people have glaucoma. Glaucoma is known as the “silent-thief” because it silently steals your vision, often without warning signs or symptoms. In fact, nearly half of those with glaucoma are not even aware that they have the disease. Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the U.S. and the leading cause of preventable blindness. Routine eye exams are your first line of defense against glaucoma’s effects. If you are found to have glaucoma, the doctors at Eye Clinic of Wisconsin can provide you with the most advanced and up-to-date treatment options.

- Radiology• When you get services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers there may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers can bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. This applies to emergency medicine, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, laboratory, neonatology, assistant surgeon, hospitalist, or intensivist services. These providers can’t balance bill you and may not ask you to give up your protections not to be balance billed.

- BlepharoplastyCosmetic eyelid surgery removes the excess fat and wrinkled, drooping skin of the upper eyelids that can result in a tired or sad-looking face. A lower lid blepharoplasty tightens the lower eyelid skin and can also eliminate bags under the eyes. Cosmetic eyelid surgery can correct problems resulting from aging, as well as inherited traits that can effect some patients as early as their 20s or 30s. This procedure can be performed under local anesthetic for many patients.
