I was sold a used car & told that they had no clue what repairs my vehicle needed, but sold it to me as is for $3,000.I drove it off the lot on 4/9/18. The moment I drove it off the lot, the car shut off & began rumbling. I contacted the owner Trish & let her know that the car tried to die on me.She told me she didnt know anything about the vehicles issues & did not do anything to at least fix the problem of my car shutting off & rumbling the day I got it. Staton Auto Sales business practice is purchasing vehicles from auction & selling them straight out from the auction with no concept of the issues other than driving them around for a week, yet still charging their customers book value. I paid $3000 for a car that lasted me 3 months due to the repairs it needed, which were an oil leak from the gasket, which had been culked to cover it up & eventually melted off, an after market air filter that was not regularly for sale anywhere, an 02 sensor, & a radiator leak.I am not a mechanic, so I trusted them & had i known what the issues were I would not have given them my last $3,000.I contacted Avon Park, Fl owner Trish & the Wauchula, FL owner Bill Staton, neither cared nor made any attempt to do right by me.Their practice of selling cars if very deceitful. The car I purchased should have taken into consideration the repairs, rather than charge $3,000 then expect me to dish out $2,000 in repairs which I discovered on my own rather than be informed beforehand as a consumer so I can make an informed decision. I told them that I am a single mother of 2 children & not having a vehicle would be a hardship but they did not care to do right by me.The $3,000 price tag gave me some assurance that it would at least last me a year but had i known that i would have to dish out so much money to fix it, I wouldnt have bought it. I explained my situation to Trish when I bought the car. I am now without a vehicle & Staton Auto Sales of Avon Park & Wauchula could care less. Very unethical business.
