- Dental ExaminationIf you have questions about your dental health, our knowledgeable dentists and team members would be glad to assist you. Please Contact Mobley Family Dentistry to schedule a consultation and complete dental examination with one of our general and restorative dentists.
- X-raysDental x-rays help our doctors ‘see’ areas between the teeth and underneath the gums to look for cavities or bone loss related to periodontal (gum) disease. Today's digital dental x-rays require less exposure time as compared to the previous film version.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningOur dentists routinely perform oral cancer screenings during your hygiene and check-up visits in our Watkinsville family dental office. Your dentist will visually examine the floor and roof of the mouth, the lips, tongue and oral soft tissue to look for unusual lesions or patches of discolored tissue. If we see something of concern, we may monitor the area or recommend testing or evaluation by an oral surgeon or your physician to rule our oral cancer.
- Teeth CleaningRegular dental cleanings and check-ups give us the opportunity to continually monitor your oral health to help prevent and detect serious conditions. If you are experiencing symptoms of periodontal disease or have any concerns about the condition of your teeth and gums, contact us to schedule a complete examination.
- Fluoride TreatmentFrom preventive dental care, such as routine cleanings and fluoride treatments for children, to restorative and cosmetic dental services for adults, our focus is on preserving your oral health and making dentistry a comfortable experience for your family.
- Dental SealantsDental sealants are a great way to help your child avoid cavities in permanent teeth; the best part is they do not require any drilling or anesthetic! Dental sealants are hard plastic coatings painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth to help make them more resistant to decay-causing bacteria.
- Fillings
- VeneersDental porcelain veneers are thin facings that adhere to natural tooth surfaces to cosmetically enhance overall smile appearance. They are an ideal solution for correcting imperfections such as chips, discoloration, and asymmetry in otherwise healthy teeth. Once adhered to the teeth, these shell-like coverings are incredibly durable and stain resistant.
- CrownsWhen tooth structure becomes damaged by decay or trauma, your dentist may recommend a filling or crown to repair the tooth and protect it from further breakage. Plastic tooth-colored filling material may be used in smaller areas, or, a ceramic or precious metal crown may be recommended if the tooth requires additional protection.
- BridgesDental implant restorations have advantages over other tooth replacement procedures, such as a traditional dental bridge, which requires drilling on adjacent teeth to create support for the replacement tooth. An implant is placed in the site of a missing tooth and restored with a dental crown to close a space, without disturbing other teeth.
- Dental BondingComposite bonding procedures are often a cost-effective approach for minor restorations. Tooth-colored, "white" composite plastic filling materials can be bonded to anterior (front) teeth to hide flaws such as chips or gaps, or used in posterior (back) teeth to restore small areas of decay or damage.
- Root Canal Treatment3D imaging and treatment planning tools aid our doctors in providing treatments such as dental implant restorations, root canals and surgical procedures.
- DenturesAnd, because an implant is a fixed prosthesis, multiple dental implants may be preferred over a removable dental appliance for improved bite stability and confidence. Dental implants may also be used to secure a complete denture and make a life-changing difference for denture wearers.
- Dental ImplantsA dental implant is a tiny titanium cylinder that replaces the function of a tooth root. Dental implants offer solutions for tooth replacement that look and feel like natural teeth. Our dentists have completed extensive training in the restoration of dental implants.
