A wonderful place to fence - excellent facilities, great floor, ample space, great equipment, brightly lit, well heated and air conditioned, and cheery atmosphere. Ample parking is immediately adjacent to the facility. The location is easily accessible. The head coach Vitaliy Nazarenko is a master teacher, highly skilled and motivated with a very positive and patient teaching style custom. Lessons are customer designed for each student. A visit to FAB is a gratifying and fun experience.

I was trained by coach Nazarenko for over a year when I lived in Boston (have since moved to NYC due to work). He's the best Saber coach in Boston without a doubt. You would be hard pressed to find a coach more passionate about his students or the sport of fencing. The club facilities at the Fencing Academy of Boston are also fantastic. 8 full sized strips in a completely open room without any pillars including changing rooms and bathrooms. The floor is made of the same material that members of the US Olympic Saber team train on in NYC as well. It feels really good to fence on. Vitaliy has a lot of experience in training everyone from little kids to high schoolers to adults to senior citizens (I was 27 when I trained with him). If you or your family are at all interested in fencing I can't recommend the Fencing Academy of Boston enough.

Special fencing floor that has shock absorbing sports tile. Strips are regulation width and length and spaced two feet apart. 5 feet of run off room on both ends. No columns. Excellent lighting. Locker rooms. Easy parking. Friendly members that welcome walk-ins. Great coach for the serious competitive fencer. All around great place.
