I have gotten 2 dogs from Crooked River and must say they are the most loving dogs anyone could ever ask for. I got to meet the parents of my pooches when I went to pick them up and Amanda is an amazing person, loves her animals very much and takes care to follow up after & see how the pups are doing. If you are considering a pup or adult dog, I would contact Crooked River!
We bought ourp Saint Bernewfie puppy from Crooked River and she is amazing! She is about 7 months old and 85 lbs but she is a little puppy at heart. She has been to the vet and she is completely heslgjy eiyh no problems. I have 3 children, aged 6, 3 and 1 and she loves them and is very calm with them and loyal to our family. We couldn't have asked for a better puppy from a better breeder.
I am very happy to give you some information about our 22 month old St. Bernewfie, "Jacoby". He is an amazing dog. His temperament is absolutely superb...as good as our Golden Retriever or our previous Labrador Retriever. Jacoby absolutely loves all other animals and people. He is extremely gentle for his size, a fantastic learner, and a real lover of affection. His energy level is beginning to even out with 2 major walks every day & a whole lot of ball playing in our large yard. We also have a beach house and he is so very fond of running the beach & naturally swimming. Training was quite easy with him. We have previous experience in training so we found it very easy as he was an eager learner. The only "drawback" is at 140 lbs he wants to sit on our laps! We have not had any heath problems with him and our veterinarian has assured us, from complete examinations, that he is in perfect health. (Incidentally our vet has all large breed dogs herself). Jacoby spends his time with 3 other dogs ranging from small (4 year old Min Pin), medium (20 year old Border Collie...YES...20 years old!!) and his best buddie our 8 year old Golden.
I honestly believe that his good natured personality is a direct result of the type of kennel Amanda runs. The fact that the puppies are not crated or kept away from the other animals certainly helped with his comfort being around other animals. I really cannot speak highly enough of Crooked River Saints.
