Founded in 1960, The Monocle Restaurant is a casual dining place that specializes in traditional American cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of options for lunch and dinner, such as filet mignon, flatiron steak, vegetarian pasta, grilled tuna, fried calamari and roasted salmon. Its dessert menu includes lemon curd pie, seasonal fruit crumble, cr me anglaise, Meyer cheesecake and ice cream. The Monocle Restaurant features reception facilities for private events, as well as a special wine room for federal receptions and congressional gatherings that can accommodate up to 10 people.
