I used the last version of Partition Partition Master to resize the two partitions of a laptop that runs Windows 7. Due to the great amount of time needed to complete the process I shut down the laptop and continued the process the following day. My Toshiba external hard disk (3.5" , 1.5tb) just started going craze, I inserted it in my USB port and it shows me the message 'USB not recognized and device has malfunctioned' I Googled for solutions and tried uninstalling all my device drivers and they reinstalled automatically but still got the same error message.
