- Established in 1919, the National Parks Conservation Association is an independent, nonpartisan, public advocacy organization that works for the protection and enhancement of the National Park System, which includes national monuments, seashores, recreational areas, historic sites, battlefields, and military and national parks. It works through the Center for Park Management and the Center for State of the Parks. The National Parks Conservation Association educates the public about the protection and improvement of park resources and funds. The association has more than 25 regional and field offices in Alaska, Montana, California, Washington, Tennessee, Florida and Arizona. In addition, the National Parks Conservation Association offers a variety of wildlife protection services. It has partnerships with local activists, government agencies and organizations, including Boeing Company, Booz Allen Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and CMC Americas. The National Parks Conservation Association publishes the National Parks magazine quarterly. It represents over 340,000 members.
