Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. is a nonprofit trade association and the Voice of the Recycling Industry . Based in Washington, D.C., the organization represents more than 1,600 private and public companies nationwide that process, broker, and consume scrap commodities, including metals, paper, plastics, glass, rubber, electronics and textiles. Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. provides member companies a variety of products and services, such as education, advocacy, compliance training, safety training materials and promotion of public awareness for recycling.
