Home Care Partners is a private nonprofit agency serving the Washington metropolitan area. The agency provides comprehensive home care services, training for those interested in meaningful careers in the home care field, and family caregivers. It employs more than 200 home care aides who are nationally certified after a 75-hour initial training course. It provides personal care and homemaking services, including bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, toileting, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping and errands, escort, and companionship and supervision. Its specialized services help people with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments to function as independently as possible. The agency additionally provides caregiver support programs to help relieve the stresses experienced by family caregivers so that they can continue to care for their relatives at home.
