There is a new playground at fort stevens recreation grounds. My family utilizeses it quite frequently, even befor it was renewed. I wish that they had some younger employees like back in the day like guy named Sean would get totally involved with the kids not just in tennis but in all round sports; football, basketball, tennis, soccer, even got some ladies to organize doubledutch for the girls. Another concern is I wish the former employees would canvas the play areas on occassion to see what the kids are doing because not all kids come there with their parents, and they attempt to do some pretty daring things. But all around we love that park its a great place to be this time of year and year round.

I had an excellent and well organized tennis lesson by Coach Kenny on 7/27/13. He adds a lot of skill training ( one-on-one and small group). In addition, he uses the ball machine for faster drills. Towards the end, we played a few matches! I plan to return next week.
