Association of Science - Technology Centers Incorporated, also known as ASTC, is an organization of science centers and museums. Founded in 1973, it sponsors several annual conferences and professional development workshops. The organization also publishes a bimonthly journal and other print publications related to scientific studies. In addition, Association of Science - Technology Centers Incorporated is responsible for representing the interests of science centers before the United StatesCongress and federal agencies. It hosts several online discussions for informal science educators and museum professionals. The organization has more than 500 members, including nature centers, aquariums, planetariums, zoos, botanical gardens, space theaters, and natural history and children's museums.
