American Resort Development Association, established in 1969, is a professional association representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries. ARDA has more than 1,000 members, ranging from privately held firms to publicly traded companies, and international corporations with interests in timeshare resorts, community development, fractional ownership and resort communities. The membership also includes timeshare owner associations, resort management companies and owners through the ARDA Resort Owners Coalition. The organization promotes the growth and development of the timeshare industry through advocacy, networking, alliances with organizations in related industries, outreach, dissemination of information and professional and educational development. American Resort Development Association is located in Washington, D.C.
