Carlson Elementary School serves more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five and employs over 60 staff members. The school s support staff includes custodians, cafeteria workers, paraprofessionals and speech therapists. Carlson Elementary School s library stocks fiction works, folktales, informational nonfiction, biographies, autobiographies, plays and poems. The elementary school maintains a parent-teacher organization that sponsors various projects and safety education classes. The association also offers scholarships. It offers education in language arts, math skills, science and health education. In addition, the school publishes a newsletter. A part of Van Dyke Public Schools, Carlson Elementary School is located in Warren, Mich.
