My parents received a letter stating that they must send in information they had to gather up (they are over 80 yrs. old). It gave them 10 days - including week ends to get the info. to the DHS. The letter was sent out 3 days after it was written and arrive a day later. So, they used up 4 of the 10 days. What's with that. After I receiving the paper from my parents I contacted the so called "Specialist" and left a message. Like everyone else, no call. I tried again and again no response. I finally sent in the information. I just received another letter requesting more information with again only 6 days to get it in. SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE IN CONTROL. THIS KIND OF CARE GIVEN TO SENIORS, THE NEEDY AND SPECIAL NEEDS PEOPLE IS UNACCEPTABLE.

In Feb. 2015 I was suppose to get a phone call from my worker which never happen. Then I got a paper saying I missed my review. I called specialist S Wilson everyday starting on Feb.2, 2015 for a week. I was told within 24 hours she would call me. Never happen. I never got a paper telling me if I was enrolled into the health and the food stamps I feel that courtesy toward the clients are zero. My phone calls were never returned. There is a breakdown in the system that is suppose to help people.

They give you a phone number to call and then say you will be contacted within 24 hours. Well it has been 3 phone calls and 4 days and no return phone call. The dept. of human services needs to learn about customer service. This place is a major joke, they do not care about anyone!
