Nestled in the rolling foothills of Palomar Mountain, within a two-hour drive from Los Angeles and a one-and-a-half hour drive from San Diego, lies the historic Warner Springs Ranch. Established in 1844, the resort has served up Western hospitality to travelers since the days of the old West Butterfield Overland Stage Coach. Today, Warner Springs is open to groups and individual guests through its travel packages, and also serves a community of regular users as a private club. The resort features 240 cottages most with fireplaces and mini-refrigerators and a wide variety of amenities. Warner Springs Ranch has an 18-hole golf course with complete practice facilities, including a driving range, chipping area, bunker and putting green. Additionally, the ranch offers horseback riding, wagon rides, mineral hot springs, swimming, hiking, cycling, tennis, sky sailing and a variety of children s activities, such as nature walks, movie nights, arts and crafts and a game room.
