Founded in 1989, NAMI-Central Georgia, a United Way Agency, is a mental health care organization that advocates for improved services and enhanced quality of life for people with mental illness. It works for the eradication of mental illness and stigma associated with mental and physical disorders. The organization offers a range of educational books, brochures and fact sheets. It conducts computer classes and provides vocational and job skills evaluation and outcome measurement services. NAMI-Central Georgia offers work adjustment and independent living skills development training, as well as assistance with community housing and other residential services. NAMI-Central Georgia is located in Warner Robins, Ga.
