While the food is still decent, the business changed owners several years ago and the fun and welcoming attitude of the establishment has gone out the window. Prices have been raised significantly and the fact that you WILL be charged $2 for every soda that you are served (Whether you ask for a refill or not) goes against all that had made the Quiet Man Pub successful in years past. Recent well known staff firings have eliminated a certain following that the bar used to have and it is not unusual now, to walk in to the establishment and realize that you are the only one there. Theme nights, Karaoke and a bartender who not only knew your name, but had your drink waiting for you by the time you sat down is a long forgotten memory. Truly sad, because the QMP was actually a very nice little bar in the heart of the village of Wappingers.Lower profit margins dishes (Such as Calamari) have been taken off the menu, due to the fact that the owner can not make as much money off of them.
