South Stokes High School provides a safe, democratic and positive environment for students to learn. The school s sports activities include basketball, wrestling, swimming, track and field, golf, soccer, tennis, softball and baseball. It has various clubs and organizations, such as science, Spanish, art, social studies and pep clubs and the National Honor Society. The school offers an extensive curriculum, including English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education and Spanish. South Stokes High School follows the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The school s guidance department assists students in career and educational planning and also offers individual and group counseling services. Its media center provides various resources and materials for development and is located in Walnut Cove, N.C.
