0I have been going to the Iceburg since I was 3 years old I am now 56 years old. I always go back to Walla Walla my home town. I have always given Iceburg #1 rating. But came back to find green relish on my cheese burger. What a disappointment Its always been red hamburger relish,since I was A kid.It gave the mayonnaise the extra creaminess and it was so delicious. It doesnt go with the dill pickles.Why change a good thing when your famous for what you serve.
Being fairly new to the Walla Walla area, we are still trying to find good sources of food for our "nights out". This weekend we chose Ice-Burg because I had read several very positive reviews. We were hugely dissapointed. I called ahead since we have a large family so that it would make it easier on the staff and we wouldn't have to wait so long for our food. Not having a menu in hand I ordered by item. Not once was it suggested to do a combo meal to save a few pennies. 4 Double cheeseburgers, 1 Single cheeseburger, 3 Fries, 1 Onion Ring and 4 Large shakes later we were out $60 - OUCH. To top it off, the food was cold. I live maybe 5 min. tops and the fries were cold - not what you'd expect for supposedly fresh from your order deep fried... the burgers were not dripping with juice. To me they looked like preformed frozen patties like you'd get cheap from the supermarket. Needless to say, we will not be back.
The Ice Burg has received the Best of the Best in Walla Walla for 2009 for THE BEST MILKSHAKE AND THE BEST HAMBURGER. Also the NW Chocolate Lovers guide voted the Ice Burg's chocolate milkshake the best in the NW.Experience a legend in Walla Walla since 1952....
Excellent burgers and shakes. The best in town. I no longer live in Walla Walla, but I still come back to visit; and I make it a priority to stop at the Ice-Burg.
