James & Brown Elementary is a public coeducational school operated by the School District of Oconee County. The school provides education to students in prekindergarten through grade five and has an enrollment of more than 700 students. It offers various instructional programs, such as K4 program, gifted and talented education, technology, Fast ForWord Computer Program, Special Education Self-Contained Program, SOAR to Success Reading, and math and reading recovery program. Its curriculum includes courses in reading, writing, science, social studies and math and language skills. The school also offers various extracurricular activities and clubs, including student council, Meeter Greeters, Clemson Relay Team, student ambassadors, chorus, orchestra, drama, children s book week, art shows and science fairs. Located in Walhalla, S.C., the school also provides media centers with Internet access.
