Mattawoman Middle School is a public school serving students in grades six through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and is a part of the Charles County Public School District. It offers instruction in science, language arts, English, mathematics, health education, computer science, social studies and physical education. It provides an opportunity to students to participate in various extracurricular activities, such as band, Bible club, chorus, environmental club, drama, geography club, Future Educators of America and student government. The school has athletic teams in archery, floor hockey, volleyball, track and field and basketball. Its cafeteria serves nutritional breakfast and lunch to students. The school s media center assist students, parents and staff to acquire information for personal reading and for information retrieval in support of the school curriculum. Mattawoman Middle School is located in Waldorf, Md.
