J.P. Ryon Elementary School is operated by Charles County Public Schools and is located in Waldorf, Md. The school provides educational services to more than 600 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It organizes various special enrichment events and gifted and talented education programs. J.P. Ryon Elementary School's staff consists of a guidance counselor, instructional specialist, art and band instructor, reading coach, nurse, psychologist, parent liaison and speech pathologist. It also provides meal, medical and transportation services to students. The school s facility includes a cafeteria, library media center, computer lab, amphitheater, playground, and art and music room. Established in 1969, J.P. Ryon Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher association that promotes understanding between parents, teachers and students, as well as provides services to school that helps to maintain a constructive working relationship.
