Selectronics is a special-applications electronics product design firm that was founded in 1968. Since 1970, it has been located in Wadesboro, N.C. Its history includes developing products such as ultrasonic and microwave motion detectors, smoke detectors, fire sensors, telephone dialers, logic controls, electronic sirens, and sound detectors. It also has more than 250 products in the fields of energy management, environmental monitoring and process control. Its business includes manufacturing and installation of its products. Selectronics has developed products for electronics security, remote controls, nuclear processing, medical electronics, consumer electronics, industrial and environmental controls. It provides consulting services in the following areas: needs assessment studies, existing system suitability, performance evaluation testing, conceptual system design, proposal preparation and evaluation, and project administration assistance.
