The Anson County Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of amenities and programs. Its facilities include horseshoe pits, tennis courts, swimming pool, ball fields, batting cages, a walking track, fishing pond and playgrounds. The department also offers a range of sports activities that include football, baseball, basketball, tennis, tee ball, fast-pitch softball, soccer and cheerleading. Additionally, it organizes summer adventure camps that offer a range of activities, such as swim lessons, geocaching, scavenger hunts, pottery, jewelry making and woodworking. The Anson County Parks and Recreation Department maintains its office in Wadesboro, N.C.
