We attended a special event at the hotel and spent the night there too, so I've enjoyed both public and private areas of the Charley Creek Inn. From check-in to check-out we had a wonderful experience! We had a standard room, and it was perfect--beautifully appointed, comfortable and immaculate! The bar is cozy, the restaurant lovely. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Be sure to check out the Cloud Room (rooftop terrace). If this hotel was in New York City, it would be called a boutique hotel and cost $700 a night. I look forward to our next stay.

We stayed at the Charley Creek Inn on the first weekend that the hotel was open for a "trial run". We were not told it was a trial run before we arrived. While our room was beautiful, we showed up at the hotel to find out that there was no cable television, that the hotel was not fully functioning and that our room wasnt completely finished (i.e. on our dresser was a sign that read future site of large flat panel television and we had to use a very small, temporary television instead.) Because there was no cable, the hotel offered a selection of about 20 DVD movies we could choose from. I had already seen most of them. What upset me most, was that the hotel did not have the courtesy to call us ahead of time and let us know that there would be no cable television, that hotel was not fully functioning, etc. I was very disappointed that no discount was offered to us at checkout and that we paid full price for our room when it was not fully functioning.
