We have been using this practice for over 10 years. We've never had problem making an appointment for a sick child. Every weekday morning there are doctor's hours from 8 -9 am, I believe, where you get to speak to a doctor and get advice whether your child needs to be seen that day or you could wait to bring them in the next day. I was always able to get an appointment when needed.

My daughter has been seen by almost everyone there and they each have their own personality. It's easy to find a few that you connect with. About six months ago she presented with generalized belly pain and we worked with them to figure out what was going on. Blood work was recommended and we were told they would call with results. The next day we received partial results and were told they'd call when the rest were available. Two days later we received a call with the results and were told that my daughter needed to see a specialist.

I am very happy with how proactive this practive is; how sensitive to the needs of my daughter and myself; and how caring they are. I recommend the practice without reservation.

Also, just so you know, I am on NJ Medicaid and I have never been made to feel "less than." A real treat.

~A satisfied mom and her daughter.

I have been taking my children to the farm pediatrics in Voorhees for many years, and it was on October 5th that I realized that this facility is all about making money. I was running late for a 5 o'clock appointment. I called to let them know that I would be there in five minutes and was told by the receptionist that one of my children would not be able to be seen because they have a 15 minute policy. I asked the receptionist if that policy was a reciprocal in nature because there have been many times that I sat in the waiting room with my children for 20 or 30 minutes waiting to be seen by the doctors. When I arrived, they told me that one of the children could not be seen. So, I opted to cancel both appointments and asked the receptionist to reschedule. She proceeded to tell me that because I wanted evening appointments that I will probably have to wait a couple of months, which I found to be unacceptable. As these were my children's wellness visits and they both have allergies, I needed appointments rather quickly. So I told the receptionist that I would have my husband call to make appointments during the day as I was was not available at that time. When my husband called a couple of days later, they refused to give him back to back appointments because they said I was a "no-show". Additionally, the appointments until mid November. To add insult to injury and, a few days later, we received a standard form letter in the mail a reprimanding me for for being a "no-show". Furthermore they stated that she did this happen in the future, I would still be required to pay my current pay amount because they would not be able to schedule another appointment. This type of behavior is not pediatricians or family practitioners should be treating their patients. I called, and I attempted to reschedule. I understand that I was late, and I do not take that lightly. However, sometimes life happens! It was the first time I was ever in this position, and to have been treated this way by this office is unacceptable. My husband will take my children to their appointments in mid-November, but after that we will find a new physician who I feel cares about my children and other people's children.

This office has the most skilled, knowledgeable, caring, proactive doctors available... you will not find a better pediatrician than the group at the Farm... I was recommended to them from many many local moms after giving birth to my first son and would never go anywhere else....

Big Business in Voorhees

and that's how it's run. There is no warmth, concern, or genuine caring; unfortunately, the commodity here is sick children where these attributes are needed the most.

Take your time to look elsewhere.

All about the money

I had to deal with ALL 7 doctors so far! We like 2 of the doctors. Dr. Sharon Barnett & Dr. Kathryn Lafferty are those 2! They do call back and take the time to figure out what to do for your child. If these 2 started their own practice, we would travel a few extra miles! (They would get 4.5 stars.)

This past Saturday the Dr. on call, was the same one in the office who was "impatient" and could not handle all the patients. She seemed overwhelmed! My husband called the hotline (later that night) and the part of her reply was "remind me who your son is again" and then "maybe you should take him to the hospital to get x-rays!" Talk about useless!

While in the office this past Saturday, we only got one answer. We asked many questioned and was told we need to make a regular appointment for during the week. Some people need Saturday appointments and should not expect anything less - but that's what you'll get!
