Come in or call us and speak with an advisor - "Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Gandhi Medication Aide Training Program 32-Hour No pre-requisites! You do not have to be a Personal Care Aide or Certified Nurse Aide. This course meets Virginia requirements for necessary training of a non-licensed person to administer medications in Mental health and Mental Retardation (MHMR) homes and the Department of Social services according to the Code of Virginia statue 54.1-3408. Participants are instructed how to administer medications in Adult Day Cares, Adolescent Group Homes and Correctional Facilities. Our state certified trainers offer a 32-hour course using the approved curriculum in Medication Management, including the Insulin Module by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Students learn through classroom and demonstration.A Medication Aide who completes this class is able to administer medications to clients in an Adult Day Care Setting. (This class does not prepare students for Assisted Living; that is a 68 hour class).
