We gave this company a $1000 deposit on a job, but decided the next day to go with a different company who was 1/3 the cost. We asked for a refund of our deposit the day after it was given to him. It has been two weeks and we can not get our money back. He will not return our calls or respond to our messages. This is stealing! No work was performed by Chimney Doctors and we need our money back. I would never use this company- he is more expensive than everybody else and keeps saying he will "throw that in for free". Go somewhere else- its a sham.

They are hard-working and honest, did a good job for a reasonable price and got it done on time. However, they made a few mistakes in the process of replacing a firebox and flue and I had to point out some of them; which they corrected without argument. None of the mistakes involved code or safety issues. If they had been smarter or a little more careful they could have been finished much sooner. They were careful about keeping the area clean and left it neat. All the workers were pleasant to have around and I would use the company again.

I was given a price of $65.00 for cleaning. When the job was done I was told it was $135.00. I was told that I misunderstood and the price was for cleaning and inspection. I did not request an inspection.

Very poor customer service to women. They bullied my wife into overpaying for a chimney sweep and then didn't clean-up after themselves when they left. Then made a joke along the lines that it was a woman's job when we inquired about who was going to clean it up. Not funny chimney doctor!!!

This local Chimney Doctors cannot be trusted to keep their word. I called them to seal off my chimney after the Nov/Dec nor'easter and they came out 12/2 to look at what had to be done. They did return to it seal off but couldn't finish the job for lack of a grinder.They did not return and unfortunately I paid them thinking they were reputable since they advertised being covered by the Superpages guarantee. After scheduling and rescheduling 7 times the work has not been finished yet. I would not want anyone else to experience such extremely poor customer service and taken advantage of like I was. It has been very unpleasant. Thank you.

Horrible service. They installed a lock top dampner and the latch inside the house broke 2 days later leaving me with a unclosable damper.
