Opened in 1970, Bayside Middle School serves more than 1,300 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as mathematics, science, English and social studies. The school additionally offers classes in art, music, computers, physical education and foreign languages. Bayside Middle School offers the English as a Second Language program. Its athletics department offers a variety of sports activities, including cross country, hockey football, golf, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, track and field, wrestling, swimming, baseball, soccer and tennis.
