I was so happy with my visit that I have booked my room for next year's getaway but I really hope I do not have to wait that long. I cannot wait to take my family there in the summer. The cabins were decorated in a way to make you feel like you weren't too far from home. The cabins were cool, clean and very well furnished. Highly recommend to others.

My wife and I stayed in the honeymoon sweet last year for our wedding anniversary. It was such a relaxing stay and beautiful scenery. Planning a family weekend soon!

I stayed there while on my way to Laredo,Texas on a bicycle trip. The lady owner is first class!! She opened her door after hours just for me. The place was impeccable and well maintained. I was very impressed and I will sure visit again.

Stayed in a cabin with a full size kitchen. Loved the best, best night of sleep. Everything was clean and cozy!

Bonnie and her staff made my stay exceptional. I felt safe and secure in my cottage and Bonnie was a wealth of information about the activities and exciting things to do in the area.

First of all let me say "WOW". My stay was the best stay over that I have ever had, the cottage was very clean,warm and inviting. The privacy was great in that I had a private deck encircled with a privacy fence with outdoor furniture, grill and a hot tub. Everyone was so welcoming. Thank you so much!

We stayed in a honeymoon cabin with hot tub. We loved the location. It was quiet yet close to town for groceries and eating establishments.

My friend discovered Southern Oaks Resort online when we were looking for a weekend getaway. I would recommend it to everyone. We did not want to leave because it was so refreshing and beautiful! It is a small, intimate property... perfect for family reunions and weddings as well as a family getaway. Bonnie, her family, and staff not only make their guests feel welcome, but also make it feel like they belong there. I was also recuperating from a health issue and Bonnie was very sensitive and sympathetic to my needs. It was a perfect place to do some healing and I will be forever grateful that I got to spend time there. I was so happy with my visit, that I have booked my room for next year's getaway.But, I really hope I do not have to wait that long. I am going to beg my husband to take our family there in the summer. My kids would love the pools and game room. I cannot wait to show them Southern Oaks. We just spent 4 days at the Southern Oaks resort. It was so quiet relaxing. We enjoyed the sale water swimming pool and walking around the grounds. The property and cabins are well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It as perfect place from which to explore some of many Grand Lake area attractions and then retreat back to the peace and quiet of this resort. There were restaurants, groceries and more close by.

We stayed here last weekend for a weekend getaway. The owner was very nice, she let us know where we could ride, shortcuts,ect, we stayed in the cub cabin which is exactly what you pay for.. a bed an bathroom. It was very clean and appropriate to come home and crash. There were outside spaces to bbq at, there was a mini fridge in the room that we didn't hardly use because we had coolers. I felt very safe and welcome there. Perfect couple.

Our room was clean and attractive, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We loved it! Wish we could have stayed longer.

What had the potential to be another boring work trip turned into a mini- vacation for me! What a beautiful and relaxing setting and at a great rice. I would recommend it highly.
