- Primary CareOn August 4th, Karen Smith-Rohrberg, FNP, will retire from our practice. If you are a current patient of Ms. Smith-Rohrberg, you will have choices as to how to obtain primary care services. At this time, we sadly do not believe that we can accommodate all the primary care patients that Ms. Smith-Rohrberg is currently following. We have contacted Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and they do have practices open to those seeking primary care services. Vineyard Medical Care is in the process of recruiting new staff members to meet the needs of our many patients. We are happy to discuss with you the alternatives for your own individual preference. We will make every effort to transfer your care to other providers at Vineyard Medical Care, but if we reach our capacity, we can direct you to how you can access the hospital’s resources.
- Emergency CareVineyard Medical Care serves island residents and welcomes vacationing visitors who require medical attention. Since the island does not have any urgent care facilities other than the ER, Vineyard Medical Care offers medical attention to those in sudden need of care for minor illnesses. Patients may avoid unnecessary and costly hospital emergency room visits and help prevent the ER from becoming overwhelmed with less severe instances.
