Established in 1968, the Parents and Friends Association is a volunteer advocacy organization that offers membership options for the parents, relatives and friends of residents in the Vineland Developmental Center. The association is a private, nonprofit organization that builds, renovates and maintains more than 20 group homes and over two apartment complexes. It also operates a fleet of vans that provides transportation services. The Parents and Friends Association s residential programs provide support services for nearly 190 women. The association has an adult training center that offers supported employment and community living skills development services, as well as conducts community trips. In addition, it operates Parents and Friends Association Community Services, which provides support services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
