Cunningham Elementary School, named after Dr. George Cunningham, a doctor who contributed much to the community during his lifetime, is located in Vineland, N.J. Founded in 1918, it is a part of the Vineland Public School District. It offers classes from grades one to four, and enrolls more than 400 students. It provides an educational environment where students can discover and use their full potential, while studying at their own rate. Developing good study skills, and understanding earlier materials before moving on, is emphasized. The curriculum includes all the basic subjects, including verbal and written expression, math, science, art and music. Cunningham Elementary School offers other facilities, such as a crisis team, peer mediation, pupil assistance committee, child study team services and speech therapy.
