The guard operates the Midwest Counterdrug Training Center, which serves law enforcement officers, prevention professionals and community coalition members. The Iowa Army National Guard maintains the National Maintenance Training Center. It is a part of the Iowa National Guard, which also operates the Iowa Air National Guard. The national guard maintains a public affairs office that provides guidance, counseling and planning services. The Iowa National Guard administers a family program, as well as offers air and army educational solutions. In addition, it operates the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum.
