After graduating top in his high school class as a valedictorian, he continued his education at U.C. Berkeley and CCPM. His externship rotations include world prestige hospitals such as Yale University. He then completed a comprehensive three year surgical residency UCLA Affliated hospitals including West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, Olive View/UCLA Medical Center, and Century City Hospital in Beverly Hills area. He served in the Navy for 8 years during OEF/OIF period as a medical officer and currently continue service at VA Greater Los Angeles. He has been involved with multiple wound care centers in High Desert area. He's Board Certified through American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Choi is a certified Total Ankle Joint Replacement Surgeon. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Western University of Health Science and an Attending at UCLA Residency program. He has been serving High Desert Community since 2008

- Sports MedicineDr. Day is a new member of the High Desert Foot and Ankle Clinic team. She was raised in the High Desert and graduated High School from Serrano High School in Phelan, CA. She went on to graduate with her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, Riverside and received her Podiatric education at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She completed her comprehensive three year clinical and surgical residency at Chino Valley Medical Center which included sports medicine training at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital and a high-level trauma rotation at Kaiser Permanente Modesto/Stockton. She treats a wide range of conditions affecting the foot and ankle in all age groups. She received extensive surgical training in all aspects of the foot and ankle including bunion correction, hammertoe repairs, forefoot and rearfoot reconstructions, trauma, and arthritic conditions affecting the foot and ankle. She also received vast training in lower extremity complications from diabetes including wound care and limb salvage. During her free time, Dr. Day enjoys spending time with her loved ones, going to museums, working on cars, going to concerts, and cooking.

- General PodiatryDr. Bollmann is originally from Minnesota and is a whole hearted Viking, Twins, Gophers and Timberwolves Fan. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University and Des Moines University. He completed his surgical residency at VA West Los Angeles. He has been involved with teaching residency program at VA West Los Angeles since 1995 to 2014. He's Board Certified through American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Bollmann is a certified Total Ankle Joint Replacement Surgeon. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Western University of Health Science. He has been serving High Desert Community since 1995.
- Bunions ProblemsDr. Katz joined our team in 2018. After graduating from UC Irvine, he received his podiatric education at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. He then completed a comprehensive clinical and surgical three year residency at VA West Los Angeles, Olive View–UCLA Medical Center, and Kaiser Woodland Hills. There he developed a strong background in treating a multitude of foot and ankle pathology ranging from bunions and hammertoes to trauma such as ankle fractures and achilles tendon ruptures. His training also emphasized diabetic limb salvage and he has extensive experience in treating both acute and chronic wounds with the goal of preventing amputations. Dr. Katz prides himself in providing comprehensive care ranging from conservative treatments to surgical intervention. He has experience providing care to diverse populations with a wide range of pathology. Most importantly, he stresses patient education with great bedside manner
