Basin Sports Started out in the 1950's with a partnership between Carl Searle and Garth Batty. They ran their sporting goods and electrical business out of a small store on Main Street in Vernal, Utah. This small company began to grow with the hardwork and dedication of these men. After a few years the partnership changed and DeArmon Batty became partner with his father to help run the store that he had grown up in. Over the years these men continued to work hard to provide the peopel of the Uintah Basin quality products wtih great service. There hardwork and legacy is evident today in what Basin Sports has become. Basin Sports has grown and expanded several times over the years to its current size and location. Basin Sports is still run by DeArmon Batty and his wife Jacque with the time honored values that have helped them be successful. Today Basin Sports is the areas leader in the Sporting Goods retail business.
