Soot was rising from by hot water heat boiler on the steel housing of the unit and through the vents. Three Lansing area boiler specialists did their trouble shooting and said the 1956 hot water boiler needed replacement at a cost of $6,500 - $12,000 and it wasn't safe heating with it as it was expelling carbon monoxide.
Consumers sent an appliance repairman to confirm the findings and he red tagged the boiler and said it shouldn't be used until replacement.
My daughter, also her father said I should call Harnsbarger Heating & Air Conditioning and get their opinion. My appointment was promptly scheduled and Lee said all it needed was a thermocouple and a thorough cleaning.
Thanks to Harnsbarger Heating & Air Conditioning, my budget is back on track and now I can afford to finish a few more projects.

I was very impressed with this company, I had no heat and it was about 5 degrees out. Needless to say we were freezing, and we called Mr. Hansbarger and he said he could come right over. He got to my house within 30 minutes,discovered the problem and we had heat within a matter of minutes. Very reasonable rates! I would highly recommend him to anyone!!
