This place gets no stars from me on anything. I will actually be contacting the BBB as soon as I am able to but I need to get vehicle back that the place has had for over 6 weeks. Never go here this place is the biggest SCAM and they do not fix your vehicle. They will hold your vehicle and put you without work and not have a care in the world about it. They will also be reported to the Attorney General because this is nonsense.

Purchased a 2001 Monte Carlo 4/13/2016 from Tom & Michelle Whitten owner/head mechanic at Affordable Auto liberty rd. Vermilion ohio for $3000 (2500 cash plus $500 for my crappy but functionable car) blew up the very next day. He blamed it on us & said he would replace the motor which we had to pay for ($650) & not charge us labor as is his 90 day guarantee on vehicles he sells. He had the car for approx 6 weeks. When we finally got it back we had it for 5 days & the first time I took it on the highway it blew up again. He came & got it again said that motor had a warranty it must be bad he was gonna have them send a different one. Should only take a week. Then texts us a week later saying he thinks the trannys not showing causing a chain reaction so to speak & says he's going to replace that too at no charge cuz he's "such a nice guy". Another 6 weeks later he claims to have put so much work into it & it's still not right (mind u it's in vermilion we or ppl we know drove by it everyday & it sat in the same spot blocked by the same vehicles everyday) so finally after 3+ months of dealing with him we got it back Friday July 29th in the worst condition yet. It sounded & ran horrible then as of Saturday July 30th it wouldn't even start. He's now ignoring our attempts to contact him or rectify the situation. In summary I paid him $3150 cash plus a $500 trade in for a car that doesn't run. He now ignores attempts to contact or resolve issues. Just since I went public this morning the response from people he as screwed over is overwhelming, sad, pathetic, & dispicable. Please tell everyone you know not to deal with him or his 2 junk yards one of which is on Cooper Foster by baumhart or his towing service lake Erie towing.

I broke down on the Ohio turnpike. The car was done so he made me an offer to purchase my car for $100.00 as long as when I got back to Michigan I sent him the title. Then when He received the title he would send me the check. . So as soon as I got back to Michigan I sent him the title ( 4 days later ) . About a week after that I called him asking about the check and he said he sent it. 4 days go by and still no check so I call again he told me once again he resent the check. 4 days go by so I call him back again now he says he sent it certified and it is in Michigan. 4 days later still no check. I have been calling him 2 times a week ever since. Now over 3 months have passed. I can't believe this guy would ruin his reputation for $100.00. I have a feeling he has done this often as most people would give up . This guy is a lying,dishonest,crook!! Just glad I didn't have a semi truck that broke down. Anyone getting a tow from this guy is doing it at their own risk!!!

It was a nightmare. Paid $1600.00 to have my heads fixed never fixed the heads and got the car back in worse condition. Was And still is a nightmare have to pay another shop to fix the car Right.

These jokers are as bad as bad can get. After calling and verifying an appointment with them, they had the audacity of not showing up and then getting really cocky over the phone. They promised a service, one that they have done many times before, and then two-faced on the service. They shouldn't make promises they can't keep and stringing potential customers along. Customer service???What a freaking joke.
