General Info
Dr. Reisman earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and his medical degree from Emory University. He completed his internship and residency at the UCLA Center for the Health Sciences. In 1978, Dr. Reisman joined Dr. John Aiken, the nephew of Dr. Bruce Balding, the first OB/GYN Specialist in Ventura County and the physician who built the current office building 60 years ago. Dr. Reisman and Dr. Aiken formed Ventura County Obstetric and Gynecologic Medical Group, Inc. after the retirement of Dr. Balding. Dr. Aiken remained with the group for three years before relocating out of the area. Dr. Reisman has served as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Community Memorial Hospital and on the Executive Committee of the hospital for several years and was also Chairman of the Interdisciplinary Committee at Community Memorial Hospital. He was hired by CMH to develop a series of ambulatory care clinics throughout Western Ventura County and became the first Medical Director of the Centers for Family Health serving from 1994-2008. The Centers for Family Health now encompass nine outpatient centers for primary and specialty care throughout Western Ventura County contracting with 49 physicians in 14 specialties and 250,000 patient visits per year. Dr. Reisman was inpatient Medical Director of Community Memorial Hospital from January 1999 to October 2003. He is currently Vice President for Ambulatory Medicine at Community Memorial Hospital and is actively involved in recruiting new physicians to the Ventura area. Dr. Reisman has been active in numerous community organizations and recently was President of the Board of The Rubicon Theater for three years. He has been married to his wife Lori since 1972 and when not spending time with their family and three grandchildren who live in the area, they very much enjoy traveling to exotic destinations and have visited Africa and Asia on numerous occasions.
