Its business technology programs include topics, such as introduction to information technology, technology in workplace communications, job readiness and career development, network and software support, Web design and training on software applications. The institute also provides programs in dietetic management and supervision, cosmetology, automotive service technology, law enforcement, court reporting, medical assisting, surgical technology, practical nursing and wastewater treatment technologies. The institute is approved by the Council on Occupational Education and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Sarasota County Technical Institute s main campus is located in Sarasota and has a branch campus in Venice, Fla.
