We hired Kennebec Roofing to be our main roofer for our rental apartment business. His work was very good, though our resident maintenance person, having some experience with managing roofers, said his rates were pretty high. We decided to use continue to use him but with a cautious eye. We did refer him to a client for roof snow removal, who also reported his rate as surprisingly high but that he did excellent job. We then had a wind storm and were in dire need of tarping before the next rain. He billed us $1,200, justifying his price because he had to leave another job he'd promised. We have since stopped using him due to his predatory / opportunistic billing practices.
