Founded in 1974, Aacres provides individualized community support for people with special needs. The agency employs a trained, live-in and support staff that offers a range of services and programs. It offers a range of individual-based programs. In addition, the agency conducts personal growth and skill-building activities. Aacres promotes status- and relationship-based programs for individuals and families. The agency additionally conducts health and safety programs. It provides rehabilitative and transitional services for people with developmental disabilities. The agency offers assistance in the treatment of medical and health conditions, including seizure disorders, cerebral palsy and substance abuse. Headquartered in Tacoma, Wash., Aacres also maintains offices in Seattle, Spokane and Vancouver, Wash., as well as Nevada and California.
