  Dr. Erfanian grew up in Orange County, California. He obtained his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from UC Irvine graduating Cum Laude. He went on to UCLA receiving his master's degree in electrical engineering before obtaining his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Erfanian is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency in general surgery at Brown University and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
